Suzanne & Jim Americana Roots Music at the Village

June 18th, July 16th, & August 20th 10 am to 3 pm

Join us at Historic White Pine Village for an unforgettable series of performances with modern-day troubadours Suzanne and Jim.

On June 18th, July 16th, and August 20th, from 10 am to 3 pm, this dynamic husband and wife duo will delight audiences with their mastery of traditional instruments, including the 5-string banjo, acoustic guitar, flute, autoharp, courtship dulcimer, and even a smattering of spoons.

Their carefully crafted vocals and gentle, home-spun humor add depth and charm to their performances. Suzanne and Jim are musical adventurers, delving into the rich tapestry of Americana music and lore. Their music transports listeners to a bygone era, blending voices and instruments in songs that resonate with the soul. Each song is a melody and a story, offering insight into our cultural heritage and providing a rollicking good time for all.

From the first note to the final applause, this series of performances promises to be a memorable entertainment experience. Don't miss your chance to be part of "Roots Revival" at Historic White Pine Village, where history comes alive through the power of music. On June 18th, in addition to music, you can enjoy a game of cricket. Join American cricket player and historian Tom Melville for a captivating journey through the history of cricket in America. Delve into the sport's growth in the 1840s and its periodic revivals as Tom presents a well-documented exploration of cricket's role in American culture.

Despite its challenges in establishing a distinct American identity, cricket held considerable appeal as a sport that fostered sportsmanship, control, public manners, and decorum.

Experience the thrill of cricket firsthand as Tom conducts continuous games from 10:30 am to 3 pm. All are welcome to join in, regardless of experience level - Tom will personally teach everyone how to play the game of cricket.
